Rotor for a cardiac support system
USE: Inter-cardiac pump system for minimally invasive procedures
MATERIAL: medical PEEK
NOTES: Blade profile wall thickness: 200 μm
With an outer diameter of just 4 mm (12 Fr), this heart pump is currently the smallest of its kind in the world. The system is nevertheless able to adequately assist the mechanical work done by the heart – the heart muscle is actively unburdened.
Biotechnology & molecular diagnostics
All 21 plastic components (small format 1K, small format 2K and large format 2K) of the cartridge are produced by Scholz under ultraclean ambient conditions.
DNA analysis
Early recognition of antibiotic resistance is of critical importance for improving clinical processes and treatment outcomes. The technology developed by Curetis is based on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and enables the simultaneous determination of bacteria and antibiotic resistance in a unique way.
Surgery
The use of microkeratome for refractive surgery demands the highest level of cleanliness and precision. The blade holders we manufacture are perfect for this.
The combination of an outstanding tool together with excellent process knowledge and control results in an item which features the strictest tolerances. For example, the nominal dimensional tolerance for a non-tool-based dimension of 14 mm is less than 10 μm.

PRODUCTION AREAS: CLASS 7 CLEAN ROOM (ISO 14644-1)
By continuously expanding our production facilities, we can consistently enhance our capabilities and push the boundaries of what is possible. This additional space allows us to advance developments in medical technology, attract new employees, and increase our capacity.
To support this, we have a Class 7 clean room in accordance with GMP C and a production area compliant with ISO Class 8.
MACHINERY
We use validated, all-electric injection moulding machines to manufacture our medical devices. We have a wide range of machines for manufacturing micro, precision and two-part components.
Fully automated handling systems enable us to move the components with minimal intervention by personnel, which keeps the risks associated with human error and contamination to a minimum.
ASSEMBLY & PACKAGING
We are happy to implement sophisticated automated processes for the assembly and control of your components. We possess extensive experience in 100% optical and mechanical testing in mechatronics. Moreover, our medical team is experienced in assembly and packing in the clean room, meaning we are also happy to offer the final packaging of medical devices.
